“D’banj Did Not Propose To Me” -Moet
Popular TV personality, Moet Abebe recently
interviewed D'banj and during the course of
the interview D'banj asked her out on a date.
With many thinking that was a start of something
good between the two.
Well Moet Abebe has however denied the proposal
saying she did it for the fans and nothing more.
In her words: "He didn't propose to me, he just
asked me out on a date. As a TV personality, I try
to be different, I don't want to be like everyone
else; I don't want to ask the same questions.
I think what people should know is, yes, interviews
are real and we are talking about real issues but if
someone proposes a date, I can't say No! obviously
I would be like "yeah!" I'm just doing it for you
guys; I mean for the fans. So nothing came out of
that interview please, you need to stop saying
that."

Smugglers Hold Special Prayers Against Customs Service
Rice smugglers in Katsina State
during last Friday, held special
prayers to seek divine intervention against
the Customs Service for stopping them from
bringing in the product.
Comptroller of Federal Operation Unit of Customs
in zone B, Mr. Amade Abdul, who disclosed this
while addressing newsmen in Kaduna yesterday,
said report reaching them indicates that the
smugglers during the prayers asked God to
intervene on the ban of the commodity.
"Reports had it that they organised prayers during
Juma'at prayers that God should touch the minds of
Customs officials who are trying to stop food from
entering their town.
"No, we are not their enemies and we are not
trying to stop food from entering their area. We are
only implementing government policies on the
illegal smuggling of rice. This is in the interest of all
of us because it will allow farmers in our country to
do well," he said.
He urged clerics and traditional rulers in the areas
to educate their people with their sermons and
preaching and not to mislead them.
"The prayers showed they are ignorant of
government policies, especially as its concerns rice
importation. There is a laid down procedure for
anyone willing to import rice into the country. If
you follow the procedures, nobody will challenge
you," he added.
He lamented that rice smugglers have now
resorted to the use of motorcycles to ferry their
commodity into the country through border towns
in Katsina.
"Motorcycles operators are now trooping from
Yobe, Borno and all other parts of the North to
Katsina State to join in the business of rice
smuggling. This is not good because we don't know
the kind of persons that are riding the bikes, aside
from the fact that their activities is against the ban
of rice", he said.

Wizkid Is My Inspiration -Iyanya
Iyanya has just recently revealed that his
inspiration while going through problems
earlier in his career was younger EME act
WIzkid.
Iyanya disclosed that he got inspired by
the latter to keep his head high in the
music industry and achieved the success he has
today.
Wizkid had a natural way to the top by getting his
hit track ''holla at your boy'' top the polls and since
then the Starboy act hasn't looked back.
For Iyanya, just when many thought he would
become a household name in Nigeria after he won
the maiden edition of the MTN sponsored music
talent show, the Calabar-born singer struggled for
few years until luck smiled at him and he burst into
fame with his hit track 'Kukere'.
Speaking recently on a TV show, the singer
disclosed how Wizkid inspired him in the music
industry.
He explained that when he thought of giving up
because of the cold reception for his RnB single
entitled 'True Love,' which he released after
winning the competition, the success Wizkid's
'Holla At Ur Boy' made and the subsequent singles
released by the 23-year-old made him to say to
himself that if Wizkid could do it, he could, which
gave rise to his 'Kukere' hit track.

Read TB Joshua's Big Prophesy for Nigerian Youths
Nigeria-based televangelist Pastor T.B.
Joshua of the Synagogue, Church of All
Nations on Sunday shared a message for job
creation with a call to include the youth in
decision-making positions or risk mass
unrest.
T.B Joshua, speaking during a live service
broadcast on his Emmanuel TV, said:
"I am seeing a revolution. I am seeing people take
to the street. At the beginning of that protest, it
might be stopped. Eventually, it will become so big
that it cannot be stopped."
In the message entitled 'Carry Your Youth Along'
the prophet, however, said there was a way out
and cited job creation for the youth and the
creation of a new social value system.
This, he said, was because 90 percent of the youth
have come to believe that it was by becoming
political thugs that they could be successful,
especially because those in the political offices do
not want to retire and become statesmen.

Tonto Dike and other Celebrities in drug use and trafficking probe
The Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency has
said it is keeping tabs on more celebrities in
Nollywood and the music industry for drug
trafficking, abuse as well as links with drug cartels.
The agency said the move became necessary,
following its investigation into the activities of
controversial actress and singer, Tonto Dikeh, for
possible use of hard drugs.
Dikeh had on June 28th, 2013, posted
photographs of a wrap of hemp and grains of the
weed formed into the letters, 'Happy birthday
POKO.'
She also posted a photograph of herself with the
inscription, 'Mi smoke ganja mi smoke weed while
my haterz smoke ma gossip.'
In an interview with reporters on Friday, the
Head, Public Affairs, NDLEA, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju,
said that Nollywood stars had been prosecuted for
drug-related offences. He said, "We are beaming
our searchlight on more celebrities with regard to
drug trafficking and abuse.
"The arrest and conviction of Nollywood stars,
Hassanat Akinwande, popularly known as Wunmi,
and Tochi Uche have clearly shown that some
members in the sector are vulnerable and
susceptible to manipulation by drug cartels.
"We have a responsibility to investigate and
identify anyone involved in drug trafficking and
use.
We are deeply concerned, when such
personalities are linked with drugs because of their
large number of fans."
Ofoyeju said the implication of having celebrities
dealing in hard drugs was that their fans might like
to act like their role models.
He added that the improper conduct of a
celebrity might have "ripple effects" on their
followers.
"This will not be treated with kid gloves. It is
counterproductive to the country's drug abuse
prevention campaign. Any breach of the NDLEA
Act will not be condoned," he stated.
The NDLEA spokesman said sniffer dogs had been
instrumental to major drug seizures in the
country.
"The heroin hidden inside woollen rug carpets
imported from Pakistan was detected by the
sniffer dogs.
The dogs help to detect drugs that ordinarily are
difficult to uncover, using normal search
techniques," he said.
He further said the agency had not recorded any
drug seizure on private jets, adding, "We are
taking measures to ensure that drug trafficking
cartels do not use such jets."
NDLEA, which said it would investigate Dikeh, had
hinted that the actress and singer risked a
minimum of 15 years in jail for allegedly
encouraging the consumption of hemp.
She, however, denied using the weed, saying the
pictures were 'photoshopped.'
