arrested a 41-year-old tanker driver identified
as Bashiru, for allegedly defiling a two-year-old

stop her from going into Bashiru's room
because she considered him a neighbour who
could not harm her daughter. "She calls him
uncle," she said.
The incident happened in Okom Ita, Akamkpa
Local Government Area, Cross River State.
"We have been living together for some time
and now, so when my daughter went into his

Prophet Ajanaku Was A Cult Member
It was claimed that Prophet Ireti Ajanaku
resurrected but this may have been a false
attempt to keep his memory alive by some of
his church members.
The Prophet, Tope Alabi estranged spiritual
father has already been confirmed dead and
the Oro traditional worshippers have conducted
a funeral rite for the late pastor.
According to a report
Oro Worshippers held funeral rites for Prophet
Ajanaku. The late founder and spiritual leader
of the Christ Revival Victory Chapel
International, Pastor Elijah Iretiola Ajanaku
belonged to the Oro cult in his lifetime.
Residents of Ikola Odunsi, where Ajanaku lived
before he breathed his last on Saturday
evening at Gbongan in Osun State, were
surprised early Tuesday morning when Oro
masquerades went to town in funeral rites for
the departed 'Pastor'.
The funeral rites which began at about
12.30am ended between 3 and 4am.
The Oro worshippers chanted the name of
Ajanaku throughout the night. The worshippers
marched through the streets of Ikola Odunsi,
Ikola Gbenaje, and landed at the deceased's
street, Folarin Williams Close.
They were chanting, "Ajanaku lo, o di gbere",
meaning "Ajanaku is gone forever, adieu".
Gay Arrested, Beaten To a Pulp In Ogun State
There was chaos at Kotodayo community in
Ota, Ogun State after a young man, simply
identified as Sadiq was alleged to be gay and
beaten up.
The incident happened at 1 Kotodayo in the
Iyana-Iyesi area of Ota after Sadiq's friend,
Ibrahim (surname withheld), allegedly raised
the alarm declaring that his male organ had
disappeared.
According to Ibrahim, who was seen unclad
before some men, Sadiq had paid him a visit
last night and deep into the night, he began to
have s*x with him.
When P.M.NEWS visited the scene, Ibrahim's
man-hood was of normal size, but he was
making efforts to make it turgid as a proof
that it was fully restored.
Ibrahim, who is also a squatter in the house,
alleged that it was the first time Sadiq would
be visiting him. Though they have been friends
for some time now, Ibrahim said he never
knew his friend was gay until last night.
Sadiq, in a confessional statement to local
vigilantes at the scene of the incident, said he
has been homosexual for the past three years.
He denied snatching his friend's male organ,
but said he had engaged only men in s*x since
then and further indicted a prophet whose
white garment church is within the community
as the one who prepared the concoction with
which he engages in the act.
However, the prophet, who was invited by the
vigilantes, denied the allegation.
He said he had known Sadiq as one who never
chased after women and did not know that the
man was gay.
Neighbours said that the owner of the one-
room apartment where the incident occurred
lives and works in Lagos and only visits the
place at weekends.
Sadiq was later whisked away by the
vigilantes after much plea to stop beating him
was rebuffed by the people of the area.
Nigeria is not in support of gay practice no
wonder a bill has been approved setting 14-
year-jail term for offenders.

Tiny Mobile Phones That Look Like Car Key Fobs Being Smuggled Into Jails, Prison Officers Fear
Prison officers have warned micro mobile
phones sold on the internet for £40 could be
smuggled into jails.
The phones look like a car key fob and carry
logos of upmarket car brands.
They can be used for calls and texting but do
not have internet access.
The prison officers' union said: "The use of
mobiles in prisons is a massive problem for us.
This gadget will make life more difficult."
Mobiles are used behind bars to control
criminal activities on the outside and act as a
form of currency.
Owning and using one can add a further two
years to a prisoner's sentence.
There are already 41,000 confiscated phones in
storage, costing the Prison Service £20,000 a
year..
But under a proposed law, governors will be
able to destroy them and other banned items.
Prisons Minister Jeremy Wright said: "We are
determined to address problems caused by

Patience Jonathan Lied Against Rivers State Government
The First Lady, Patience Jonathan, was
economical with the truth when she accused
the Rivers State government of ignoring her
moment of bereavement.
Mrs. Jonathan, in a tersely worded statement,
late Monday, sought to lay to rest accusations
that she snubbed Tele Ikuru, the Rivers State
Deputy Governor, who had come to receive her
at the Port Harcourt International Airport on
Sunday.
The First Lady justified her actions stating that
no official of her home state came to
commiserate with her family after she lost her
mother, Charity Oba, in a fatal auto accident.
Mrs. Oba died along the East-West Road in
Rivers State, on July 22.
"It should be noted that while several groups
and individuals from across the country came
to condole the first lady and Mr. President on
the death of her mother, no official of Rivers
state government deemed it fit to pay the first
family condolence visit, yet they claimed the
first lady is a daughter of Rivers state," Mrs.
Jonathan had said.
"He who must go to equity must go with clean
hands. They should learn to give respect to
those who deserve respect so that they too
can earn respect," she had added.
But findings show that Rivers State
government not only condoled with the First
Lady; Judith Amaechi, wife of Rotimi Amaechi,
the Rivers State Governor, was accompanied
by Mr. Ikuru and other state government
functionaries to a condolence visit to Mrs.
Jonathan on July 26.
The Rivers State delegation had, earlier on that
day, received Mrs. Jonathan at the Port
Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa.
Several photographs of Mrs. Amaechi signing
the condolence register at the King Perekule's
residence of the late Mrs. Oba were published
by various newspapers.
During the condolence visit, Mrs. Amaechi
signed the register placed before a framed
portrait of Mrs. Oba and a photograph of
Favour, her grandchild, who also died in the
accident.
One week after Mrs. Jonathan's loss, Mr.
Amaechi issued a condolence statement over
Mrs. Oba's demise saying that he received the
news with "utmost shock and sadness."
"No doubt the demise of a loved one leaves us
feeling hollow and alone. Yet, in the midst of
our pain, we must not forget that we are
Christians and therefore should not mourn like
those without hope," the Rivers governor had
said.
The First Lady had reportedly snubbed Mr.
Ikuru, who had gone to welcome her on
Sunday, at the Port Harcourt International
Airport, Omagwa.
Mrs. Jonathan's security aides prevented Mr.
Ikuru and other Rivers State government
officials from getting near the First Lady.
Mrs. Jonathan justified her actions in her
statement, late Monday, saying that no official
of her home stat
Kidnappers Kill Policeman In Delta, Seize His Gun
Suspected kidnappers on Tuesday shot dead a
policeman in Obiaruku area of Delta State and
seized his rifle.
They, however, escaped with bullet wounds,
abandoning six persons, including the vice
chair of Uhumnwonde Local Government
Council, Edo State, Mr. Walter Aiwekhoe, who
they had earlier abducted, following a gun
battle with men of the Special Anti-Kidnap
team of the Delta State Police Command.
Vanguard learnt that the kidnap/robbery gang
struck in Edo state, where they kidnapped the
six persons, at about 10.00 am, along Ekpoka-
Igbanke road, and entered into Delta state with
their captives in two vehicles, a Sienna space
bus and Primera car.
Commissioner of Police, Delta State, Mr.
Ikechukwu Aduba, who confirmed the killing of
the policeman and rescue of the six victims to
Vanguard on Tuesday night, said, "The
policeman was killed in a separate incident by
the robbers/kidnappers, who fired
indiscriminately."
It was gathered that the deceased policeman
was in a vehicle handling another case of
pipeline vandalization when the suspected
kidnappers sighted and shot him.
According to Aduba, "The Special Anti-Kidnap
team in Delta state went after the gang when
they entered Delta state and a gun duel
ensued, forcing them to beat a retreat,
abandoning their six victims."
"While escaping, they opened fire
indiscriminately and a policeman, who was on
a different assignment, was hit and his rifle
carted away," he said.
Aduba asserted, "Manhunt is on, the daredevil
robbers/kidnappers escaped, the policeman
died before help could reach him, we have
spread our dragnet to nab the hoodlums."
A source told Vanguard, "A woman and her
children were among the six victims, she
driving in a KIA Sorento car when she was
abducted with her kids

This was what Mode9 said
" You see how the industry is ' how do you
