Car crashes into crowd at Venice Beach

Twelve people were injured — including two in
critical condition and two in serious condition —
Saturday after a car went into a crowd Saturday
on the Venice Beach Boardwalk in Los Angeles,
fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey
said.
All of the victims were standing on the famous
boardwalk at the time, the Los Angeles Fire
Department said.
In 2003, an elderly man accidentally plowed his
car through a busy farmer's market in adjacent
Santa Monica, killing 10 people and injuring 69.
