NGF Crisis: There Was An Election Won By Amaechi, Says Rochas Okorocha

Still yet to come to terms with the controversy
that trailed the outcome of the Nigeria
Governors' Forum election last week Friday in
Abuja, Imo State Governor – Rochas Okorocha,
has declared support for Rotimi Amaechi of
Rivers State whom he said won the election free
and fair.
Speaking at an event in Owerri, the state capital,
Mr Okorocha said it was unbelievable that some
people will claim there was no election.
"I can't imagine it in my life that anybody will
come up and say we did not conduct an election,"
Governor Okorocha said.
He added, "There was a free and fair election and
the winner of that election was Amaechi."
He said, however, for the growth of the nation's
Democracy, all the Governors need to come
together and sue for peace and unity in order to
move the nation forward.
