Four persons died on Tuesday while
two others were injured in an auto
crash which occurred at Funji Village in
Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi
State.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety
Commission, FRSC, Bauchi State, Henry Olatunji, told newsmen on Wednesday in Bauchi that the accident occurred on Misau-Azare road at 7.40 p.m.
Mr. Olatunji said the accident occurred when an articulated vehicle with registration number Bauchi XB 826 KTG and Toyota starlet with registration number Bauchi AA 178 BUJ collided.
He said the six persons involved were four males, one female and a baby boy, out of which two males, one female and the baby died.
Mr. Olatunji said the remaining two males
sustained injuries. He said that FRSC officials
arrived at the scene 10 minutes later and evacuated the victims to the Federal Medical Centre Azare. He urged motorists to observe traffic rules and regulations while plying the highway to avoid accident.
The commander said the command would soon embark on enlightenment campaign to reduce avoidable accidents.
